One of our experts has had experience designing systems and databases on an HP3000 running MPE-IX and in the past has had large projects like converting massive databases from the HP onto modern relational databases.
One such task was for a very large company where they needed 2 years worth of “Current” invoice history and a further 4 years of backed up invoice history converting into comma delimited files in order for the “new” system to pick it up. Please bear in mind that the data consisted of EVERY invoice line and there were millions of records produced every day.
Also in the course of his work he created a large stats system on the HP3000 which used a VB6 front end and read data from the image databases to show stats to compare previous year’s data against current year’s data and export to spreadsheets and create reports, etc.
So if you are currently migrating from a HP Image or even Cobol file based systems we can deal with that data for you and we can even design systems which emulate the existing systems using SQL Server databases and accessing using either .net front ends, ASP2 web pages, or even spreadsheets.
Clearly large projects like these will get special day rates, and all systems will be fully documented throughout at every stage of design and implementation and full progress reports will be produced on a weekly basis.
